Canvassing Effort Continues

AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associates canvassed today in the Normandy Drive and Taft Speedway neighborhoods today. AmeriCorps volunteers--working together with the United Way of Johnson County--met with area residents still recovering from June's record flooding.

On Saturday, July 26, volunteers will be working in the Normandy and Manor Drive neighborhood to remove sandbags around homes or along the Iowa River. Those interested in volunteering should check in at our tent on the corner of Normandy and Manor Drive. Snacks and water will be provided.
