Coralville Sandbag Removal Event

On July 11, AmeriCorps VISTA associates worked on a sandbad removal project with neighborhood volunteers near Fifth Avenue in Coralville. Below, VISTA Summer Associates and yearlong associates work to remove sandbags.
This Friday and Saturday, July 18 and 19, volunteers from AmeriCorps VISTA, the United Way of Johnson County, and other organizations will be working in the Normandy and Manor Drive neighborhoods to remove sandbags and begin the rocovery project there. Those interested in volunteering are asked to check in at the Normandy and Manor Drive intersection; the event is scheduled from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM both days. For more information, please call our United Way Volunteer Center at 319-338-7823 or e-mail us here.
